The 2023/24 fiscal year was a very strong one for Friends of the West Shore Theatre, Inc. We continued to exceed our budget numbers as we received incredible support from both the local community as well as visitors from other towns, boroughs, and states. We continued to expand our programs and offerings featuring first and second run films, repertory and classic movies, and even more live entertainment including music, comedy, performing arts, rentals, and more. We also had our first full year of youth theatre education which saw nearly every offering full of young performers in grades K through 8 looking to learn and expand upon their interest in musical theater. We hope to continue to expand this programming and including more performing arts experiences and opportunities to round out our full lineup of programming. This year, we were also voted Best Movie Theater in the PennLive.com PA Picks Awards and Best Theatre in Susquehanna Styles 2024 Best of Dauphin & & Cumberland County Awards. The future is bright for the West Shore Theatre as we plan in the next fiscal year to start working on Phase 2, which would include an expansion on the back of the theater to complete the initial vision of the Friends of the West Shore Theatre.
