In 2023, the Foundation made an award in Israel. The Israel-based award was granted to Nasser Nawaj'ah for NIS 100,000, the largest individual prize in Israeli civil society. Nasser is an example and model of an individual who speaks and acts truth to power, practicing non-violence and demonstrating extraordinary courage and determination in his community fighting for the most basic human rights. Also in 2023, the Foundation granted funds to the U.S. based nonprofit organization, Way to Rise, an organization the Board determined was best suited to administer the U.S. portion of the Truth to Power Award going forward.
