SCHOOL AT DANCERS' WORKSHOP: PROVIDES CREATIVE MOVEMENT AND FORMAL DANCE INSTRUCTION FOR YOUTH AGES 18 MONTHS - 18 YEARS WITH A PROGRESSIVE CIRRICULUM IN BALLET AND MODERN TECHNIQUE AS WELL AS CLASSES IN HIP HOP AND OTHER POPULAR DANCE STYLES. A PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM INSPIRES AND PREPARES ADVANCED STUDENTS FOR THE PROFESSIONAL DANCE WORLD, EXPANDING THEIR TECHNICAL AND ARTISTIC DANCE ABILITY. THE SCHOOL ALSO PROVIDES ONGOING FITNESS AND DANCE INSTRUCTION FOR ADULTS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES IN STYLES INCLUDING MODERN, BALLET, PILATES, ZUMBA FITNESS, JAZZ, BOOTYBARRE, HIP HOP, MELT, SALSA, BACHATA, AND TANGO. SPECIAL WORKSHOPS INCLUDE INSTRUCTION IN DANCE STYLES LIKE BALLROOM, AFRICAN AND COUNTRY WESTERN SWING. BETWEEN THE YOUTH AND ADULT PROGRAMS, MORE THAN 27 ADULT CLASSES ARE OFFERED EACH WEEK, 42 YOUTH CLASSES, AND APPROXIMATELY 50 SPECIAL WORKSHOPS ANNUALLY. IN TOTAL, 901 STUDENTS ATTENDED 69 CLASSES IN 2023.

STATEWIDE OUTREACH: DANCERS' WORKSHOP HAS BEEN PROVIDING OUTREACH TO THE RURAL AREAS OF WYOMING FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS. DANCE IS A REQUIRED OUTCOME FOR WYOMING PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSED FOR GRADES K-9. THE VISION OF DW'S OUTREACH PROGRAM IS TO CREATE DIVERGENT THINKERS BY ASKING QUESTIONS AND EXPLORING CLASSROOM CONCEPTS USING MOVEMENT AS THE VEHICLE. CURRENTLY, DW PROVIDES NINE WEEKS OF RESIDENCY PROGRAMS ANNUALLY WITHIN THE JACKSON HOLE COMMUNITY AND EIGHT WEEKS OF RURAL OUTREACH PROGRAMMING IN THE WESTERN REGION OF WYOMING, THAT INCLUDES SIX WEEKS IN PINEDALE, ONE WEEK IN BIG PINEY, AND ONE WEEK IN LANDER. OUTREACH PROGRAMS REACHED 1,500 STUDENTS IN 2023.
