FOUNDED IN 2018, T'SHUVAH CENTER IS AN INTENTIONAL, SPIRITUAL RECOVERY COMMUNITY FOR PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND PROCESS DISORDERS. BASED IN NEW YORK CITY, THE ORGANIZATION INTEGRATES JEWISH WISDOM, TEXT AND RITUAL; THE 12 STEPS OF AA, AND COACHING IN ITS EVIDENCE-BASED, INNOVATIVE PROGRAM. T'SHUVAH CENTER OFFERS SUPPORT IN THREE BROAD AREAS: RECOVERY CARE, TRAINING AND EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. DURING THE PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED A VARIETY OF ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS FOR VARIOUS DEMOGRAPHIC AND INTEREST GROUPS: WOMEN, LGBTQIA+, ARTISTS, THOSE WHO WISH TO PRAY TOGETHER EACH MORNING, AND THOSE WHO WISH TO STUDY JEWISH TEXTS, SUCH AS TORAH AND TALMUD, IN THE CONTEXT OF RECOVERY. T'SHUVAH CENTER TRAINS CLERGY AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN COUNSELING CONGREGANTS AND PATIENTS WHO ARE STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION, OR WHOSE LOVED ONES ARE AFFLICTED. THE CEO'S PODCAST, "TATTOOS AND TORAH," HAS BEEN DOWNLOADED ALMOST 30,000 TIMES SINCE IT BEGAN IN JANUARY 2020. AND THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS PERIODIC IN PERSON EVENTS, SUCH AS HIGH HOLIDAY AND SHABBAT SERVICES WITH A FOCUS ON RECOVERY.
