Pentas Pediatric Care - this projects purpose is to help restore mobility by providing pediatric prosthetic equipment to child amputees. Penta will do this by collecting pediatric equipment from around the U.S. and shipping it to several countries, including Palestine, Liberia India, Haiti, and Morocco (and others). This project will generate valuable facts and figures through beneficiary surveys and information provided by partners, which will contribute to the limited existing data on global pediatric amputee care and our strategic approach to the expansion of our pediatric-focused program.Limb Disassembly Days in Partnership with Touro University in 2024 - Penta partnered with the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at Touro University to host two limb disassembly days. The first event took place during Limb Loss Awareness Month in April 2024 and the other in November 2024. Across both disassembly events, the Penta team and dozens of students and staff disassembled approximately 214 full limbs, which yielded 785 usable prosthetic components. Penta looks forward to continuing this new relationship with Touro University in 2025.
