The newspaer was created to provide the Ukrainian community with information aboutwide range of topics including cultural, educational and charitable events, highlighting Ukrainian culture,heritage & history. Hromada also operates and continually updates the portal and website which provides information and support to our local Ukrainian community.

Fundraising: Hromada (means community in Ukrainian) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Corte Madera, Marin county, California. All donations are tax-deductible. Hromada is actively collecting funds and sending them to Ukraine to areas most affected by war Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv. Hromada has no overhead expenses and everyone working for Hromada is a volunteer. We send the funds we collect to the Ukrainian non-profit organizations (98%) and the people that we know and trust in Ukraine, who are volunteers on the ground and use the money for immediate humanitarian aid for those who are in need: children, women and refugees.
