COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS - 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY, NORMANDY AMERICAN MILITARY CEMETERY, FRANCE. 12,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED, INCLUDING 202 WWII VETERANS, THE PRESIDENTS OF FRANCE AND THE UNITED STATES, MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, ACTIVE-DUTY MILITARY OF ALL RANKS, VETERANS, ABMF CORPORATE PARTNERS, PATRIOTS. SPREAD OVER SEVERAL DAYS, EVENTS INCLUDED WREATHS-LAYING, SPEECHES, MILITARY AWARDS, MUSIC, FLY-OVERS, RE-ENACTMENTS. IT WAS A FITTING TRIBUTE TO THE MORE THAN 156,000 ALLIED PERSONNEL WHO STORMED THE BEACHES, AND THE 14,000+ WHO ARE BURIED OR MEMORIALIZED AT THE NORMANDY AMERICAN MILITARY CEMETERY. ABMF RECEIVED $115K FROM BOEING TO HELP OFFSET EXPENSES.
