IN OUR FIRST YEAR, WE ACCOMPLISHED GETTING OUR ORGANIZATION SET UP ANDPLANNING FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS - OUTDOOR CAMPS:THE PROGRAM WILL ENCOURAGE YOUTH AND VETERANS TO GET OUTDOORS. ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE GETTING STUDENTS INTO NATURE WHEN THEY WOULDNT NORMALLY BE ABLE TO PAY FOR IT. WE EXPECT TO HOLD 5 CAMPS WITH 50-80 KIDS AT EACH CAMP DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS AND 2 CAMPS WITH 4 VETERANS EACH DURING THE FALL. DURING OUR CAMPS, WE WILL HELP EACH INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCE AND LEARN WHILE OUTDOORS. MOST YOUTH ARE COMING FROM LOWER INCOME HOMES SO WE WILL ONLY CHARGE AND AVERAGE OF $150 PER CAMP AND MAY WAIVE SOME FEES IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO PAY. WE EXPECT THIS PROGRAM TO TAKE UP 100% OF THE ORGANIZATIONS TIME AND RESOURCES. PROGRAM WILL BE RUN BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ORGANIZATION. ACTIVITY IS FUNDED BY GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS. THIS PROGRAM FURTHERS OUR EXEMPT PURPOSE BY EDUCATING AND ASSISTING YOUTH AND VETERANS CONNECT TO NATURE. WE PLAN ON BUYING A FACILITY AND MONTHLY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS ARE ESTIMATED TO BE $5,000 PER MONTH. THIS ACTIVITY WILL BE CONDUCTED IN SNOHOMISH, WA. PROGRAM WILL BE OPEN TO ALL KIDS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. PROGRAM IS TO BE PUBLICIZED PRIMARILY THROUGH LOCAL SCHOOLS AND WORD OF MOUTH.
