A PRINCIPAL FUNCTION OF MSMERC IS THAT IT SERVES AS THE ACCREDITATION COUNCIL FOR GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION'S (ACGME) SPONSORING INSTITUTION FOR MISSISSIPPI DELTA FAMILY MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM. AFTER RECEIVING ACGME INITIAL ACCREDITATION IN EARLY 2020, MSMERC'S DELTA FAMILY MEDICINE BEGAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL RESIDENCY MATCH MATCH PROGRAM (NRMP. EACH YEAR, THE FAMILY MEDICAL PROGRAM HAS SUCCESSFULLY MATCHED GRADUATING MEDICAL STUDENTS. THE 3 CLASSES OF TRAINEES HAVE LOCATED IN THE GREENVILLE, MS COMMUNITY. ALONG WITH ACADEMIC OVERSIGHT MSMERC ASSISTED WITH RECRUITMENT OF THE THE RESIDENT TRAINING CLASSES.
