The Arts Council provided free and ticketed live music, theatre, and outdoor movies for the community. Events included the high school one act play, Doane Universitys musical ensembles performing in the community, a Latin dance and other events and movies with various community partners. We held six events with more than 400 different attendees throughout the year.
We provided funding to the Galaxy of Stars local talent competition, to Doane University Theatre workshop for area high school students, and to Crete High Schools musical for costume costs.

In 2023 we started rebuilding of the historic Isis Theatre after COVID related delays, demolition and design. The project was phased and most of phase 1 (bathrooms and lobby) was completed. Significant grant support came from various foudations and the City of Crete Economic Development Fund. Improvements were made to the Isis Theatre totaling 537944
