INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS - POTHAWIRA INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES TO HELP EMPOWER COMMUNITIES, FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION AND SUPPORTING SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. OUR PRIMARY FOCUS IS MALAWI, AFRICA WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH POTHAWIRA (SAFE HAVEN) CHRISTIAN MISSION ORGANISATION, A REGISTERED MALAWI NGO. WE SUPPORTED THE OPERATION OF AN ORPHAN COMMUNITY WITH 126 CHILDREN, A MEDICAL CLINIC THAT SEES 100-300 PATIENTS A DAY, AND A PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH 300 STUDENTS. WE ALSO SUPPORTED TWO INDIVIDUALS FROM THE ORPHANAGE STUDYING IN THE UNITED STATES ON F-1 VISAS. OUR FUNDING SOURCES FOR THIS WORK INCLUDE GENERAL DONATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC AND GRANTS FROM FOUNDATIONS.
