We believe connecting with nature nourishes the child's mind, body and soul. Wonderbloom's mission is four-fold. First, create opportunities for children of all backgrounds to have access to nature-based, environmentally-friendly learning through Wonderbloom Nature Playschool. Next, provide training and support so other early childhood educators competently incorporate and implement nature-based educational approaches in their own programs. Furthermore, enrich and expand the empirical basis for nature-based learning. Finally, lend credibility and support for licensing bodies and regulators to incorporate nature-based learning approaches into their decision-making. We have two guiding values: Focus on high-risk or underserved populations - including children that are low-income, BIPOC, and have special needs. In addition, incorporate eco-friendly practices and materials and support companies/organizations who are eco-friendly.

Wonderbloom was able to open a new classroom for 2 yr olds in March 2024. This age group has been in high demand and we are excited to be able to serve the community with this new classroom. We were able to provide scholarships for 18 children attending Wonderbloom. We participated in 16 community events to bring nature-based learning to the public. Wonderbloom hosted two workshops for other early childhood educators to learn about nature-based teaching. Our executive director presented about nature-based learning at 5 national and international early childhood conferences. Wonderbloom's executive director made connections for future research projects. In addition, the executive director served on several committees across the state of Utah for children, early childhood education, and outdoor learning.
