SPLASHFORWARD'S PRIMARY GOAL IS TO ENGAGE COMMUNITY LEADERS TO PROVIDE AND RAISE PRIVATE FUNDING TO SUPPLEMENT LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES' GOAL OF BUILDING AND SUSTAINING REGIONAL AQUATICS FACILITIES. ITS INITIAL MUNICIPALITY IS THE CITY OF BELLEVUE, LOCATED IN KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, BUT FORESEES BRANCHING OUT INTO OTHER MUNICIPALITIES INCLUDING REGIONAL EFFORTS. SPLASHFORWARD WILL HELP RAISE PRIVATE FUNDING TO SUSTAIN OPERATIONS OF AQUATICS FACILITIES THROUGH COMMUNITY RELATED AQUATICS PROGRAMMING OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION TO RAISING FUNDS FOR AQUATICS FACILITY DEVELOPMENT, SPLASHFORWARD WILL ENGAGE IN OUTREACH WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY TO PROMOTE ACCESS FOR ALL AGES, ALL ABILITIES, AND ALL BACKGROUNDS TO SWIMMING FACILITIES. SPLASHFORWARD WILL DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS THAT SHOWCASE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING AQUATICS FACILITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES THEY SERVE. THIS WILL INCLUDE MATERIALS DEMONSTRATING OPERATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY, HEALTH AND WELLNESS BENEFITS, WATER SAFETY BENEFITS, AND PROGRAMMING MODELS THAT BEST MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY.
