The three main programs are:1) English-Japanese translation when members are applying for Housings, Estate Plannings, Healthcare matters,2) Organize free educational seminars by Japanese speaking instructors and specialists for members, and 3) Publish free Japanese Newsletters periodically mailed out to members with various information pertaining to housing, estate planning, healthcare, retirement (Hawaii vs Japan), computer/smart-phone technologies, etc.We spent approximately $9,600 during 2022 for room reservations, meals/refreshments, printing handouts/flyers/newsletters, postages, etc. for the following events...1. our "3rd Annual Installation & Membership Meeting" in July with approx. 73 attendees including members & guests;2. free seminar on "How to Apply for Hawaii Homeowners Property Tax Credit" in August with approx. 14 attendees who are members and also homeowners;3. free seminar on "How to Use Smart Phone Apps on English-Japanese Translation" in September with approx. 33 members only attendees;4. free seminar on "Health: Understanding Your Vital ChartX and "Health: Advance Healthcare Directive" in October with approx. 58 attendees, members & guests; 5. free J-Center Quarterly Newsletters published by volunteers and distributed to about 111 members in Japanese language on Jan-Apr-Jul-Dec'22, which updates members of our activities and testimonials; and6. free consulting & referral services, both in person and on phone, to total of 100 members, who are our clients, for total of over 1260 hours.
