PGPs Educational Programming spans from hands-on teaching in the Philadelphia public schools, to partnering with local universities and libraries. With schools, we provide engaging nature based programming with educational staff and trained goats focusing on curriculum based lessons, held at the school or at the Farm at Awbury. PGPs educational programming includes the Teen Internship Program, a job skills, anti-violence program that teaches social and emotional wellness and provides many practical opportunities for youth to participate in on-the-job work opportunities and to develop teamwork skills.

PGPs Wellness Programming provides trauma-informed nature-based services for a range of people of all ages and stages including those impacted by violence, grief, loss and isolation and/or disabilities, both at the farm and at community sites. PGPs free bi-monthly special needs animal assisted therapy called the RAMble continues to thrive. We also lead grief walks each season in conjunction with our Grief Garden, for people seeking comfort, support and guidance to address grief and loss. Our wellness team also provides free and reduced cost therapy support for groups and individuals to address grief and loss.
