MEMBERSHIP & RECRUITMENT: The most important activity is serving as the coordinating organization for the recruitment of new fraternity members each semester. This involves providing information about the entire fraternity community and making that information available to any male student at the University of Colorado Boulder who might be interested in being a member of a fraternity which is a member of the UIFC. This activity occurs each semester. Fall semester is the most significant time for recruitment. The UIFC collects the information on approximately 1500 young men who wish to be considered for membership. The UIFC compiles all of this information and circulates the information to all of its members. During the recruiting period, the UIFC provides daily reports on the status of all members recruiting events. Once the recruiting period is done, the UIFC provides a celebratory Bid Day which recognizes each young man who has accepted a bid. This same process occurs during spring semester on a smaller scale.
