Yampatikas main goal is to develop environmental learning opportunities that serve the children and adults of northwest Colorado. The goals of educational programs are to: make environmental education universally accessible through The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) at Legacy Ranch; create a demonstration site at the ELC where people can learn about the history, societal significance and practical aspects of sustainable living; continue to implement a model K-5 environmental literacy program in our service area; continue to work at the local, state and national level to have environmental literacy included in school curriculum; continue to offer high-quality adult education programs in partnership with area land management agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses; and continue the expansion of our programs for low and moderate income, special needs and at-risk youth.
