Mission

Putting God's love in action by providing relief, Christian care and education to families in Uganda. We strive to accomplish this by providing education opportunities to children aged 3-18, and providing basic needs and healthcare to elderly women. In 2024, we sponsored 184 Ahadi Kids and 175 Grandmas for Jesus. We also have a construction crew that built a 3 house for an elderly grandmas, continued constructions for teacher housing units and continued construction on our office building so that they can offer rental units and make the office self-sustaining. In addition, we built latrines for our Secondary School building. Lastly, our team purchased some land to be used for raising cattle.

Our construction crew was formed in 2013 for the "Shelters in the Storm" project to build houses made of compressed earth for grandmothers and their families. Using local labor and supplies, this program provides jobs to over 100 villagers and has reinvigorated the local economy of Fort Portal, Uganda. In 2024, the crew built 3 house, teacher housing units and did repairs and additions to our secondary school. In addition, they continued to work on the office building which will eventually include rental spaces to help toward self-sustainability.

The ChristAid "Ahadi Kids" child sponsorship program supported 184 unique children with local education costs. We have children in all ranges of schools - preschool, primary, secondary, vocational and university. Sponsors cover the costs of the "Ahadi Kids" school fees as well as most of the local staff expenses to administer the program. Most of these children would be unable to afford any sort of education without these sponsorships, especially those after primary school.

Program 3
Expenses: $124,365 Revenue: $62,573

Our Grandmas for Jesus program supported 165 elderly women in the local villages. This provided a stipend to each, as well as health insurance and the staff needed to administer the program.
