THE DURANGO ROCKY MOUNTAIN SWIMMING CLUB CONTINUES TO GROW MEMBERSHIP WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR TEAM HAS GROWN TO OVER 150 MEMBERS AND WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE COACHING FROM INTRODUCTORY INSTRUCTION THROUGH NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION. WE OFFER CONTINUED SWIM INSTRUCTION FOR THE YOUNGER SWIMMERS TEACHING SWIMMING SAFETY TO THOSE LEARNING TO SWIM. WE OFFER COMPETITIVE LEVEL SWIMMING TO ALL ABILITIES GIVING OUR SWIMMERS A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT TO GROW IN.THE CONTINUED PROGRESS OF OUR SWIMMERS IS IMPRESSIVE. SEVERAL OF OUR AGE GROUP AND SENIOR LEVEL SWIMMERS TRAVELED TO HIGHLY COMPETITIVE, QUALIFYING REGIONAL AND NATIONAL MEETS OUTSIDE OF COLORADO. ADDITIONALLY, TWO-THIRDS OF THE GRADUATING SENIORS WILL CONTINUE THEIR SWIMMING CAREERS IN COLLEGE. WE ARE PROUD OF THE GROWTH OUR ATHLETES CONTINUE TO MAKE.WE HAVE CONTINUED TO INVEST IN THE TEAM AND COMMUNITY BY CONTRIBUTING TO IMPROVE THE TIMING SYSTEM AT THE DURANGO RECREATION CENTER USED BY BOTH THE DURANGO SWIM CLUB, LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL AND OTHER SWIM GROUPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. WE OFFER MULTIPLE SCHOLARSHIPS TO OUTREACH SWIMMERS WHO WOULD NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE. SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE USED FOR MONTHLY DUES, SWIM MEET FEES AND TRAVEL ASSISTANCE TO MEETS OUTSIDE OF DURANGO, COLORADO.
