Music Encounters was formed in 2002 to offer violin and cello instruction to economically disadvantaged children in six schools and community sites in the Denver metro area. The program provided musical instruction to 85 at-risk children as well as enhancing skills in self-discipline and confidence. While enrollment is back to pre-pandemic levels, the number of schools offering the program is reduced from pre-pandemic levels. However, new schools are being added as the year progresses.

Four live concerts were presented to a total of 558 audience members during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024.
