Skate in the Park'- The 2024-2025 season of Skate in the Park, offered in partnership with the City of Colorado Springs Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services continued a beloved tradition including public skate and private rentals in which well over 25,000 admissions to the rink November through January. This year averaged more public admissions per day than any prior year. A few notable media pieces include: KOAA: Skate in the Park returns to Downtown COS- Meet Santa, see U.S. figure skaters and CC Tigers hockey; KRDO: 'Skate in the Park' in downtown Colorado Springs anticipates busy rest of the season; and Gazette: Skate in the Park, other holiday festivities in downtown Colorado Springs kick off this weekend.Art on the Streets ("AOTS") - The 26th annual Art on the Streets exhibit featured seven sculptures and six murals, with eleven of the artists hailing from Colorado. A new Art on the Street fellowship launched - Pikes Peak Region Poet Laureate Ashley Cornelius and visual artist Jasmine Holmes created a collaborative mural project showcasing the depth of beauty and diversity of the Colorado Springs community.Just over 4,900 square feet of Downtown walls received painted mural treatment.The Cultural Corridor - The Cultural Corridor, which shines a spotlight on the diverse contributors to Colorado Springs' history, expanded one more block along Pikes Peak Avenue (from Weber to Corona). A total of 462 banners were hung throughout the year.Revel - The Urban Arts Party expanded capacity in its second year. The multi-course dinner in AdAmAn Alley brought 144 people to celebrate the Downtown Creative District. Chefs from Downtown restaurants showed off their finest on the artful menu.
