Foresight provides access to outdoor recreational experiences for individuals who are blind and have low vision. Blind and low vision individuals participate in guided skiing and snowboarding in the winter and rock climbing, hiking, stand up paddleboarding, archery, horseback riding and rafting at the Summer Camps for Blind Youth. Foresight uses mountain-based recreation as a means to help visually impaired individuals build key life skills, bolster resilience and break through attitudinal and physical barriers. Foresight served 66 unduplicated skiers on 183 total skier days and 32 campers at its summer camps during the 2023 fiscal year. Essential to Foresights ability to fulfill its mission are the generous noncash donations by VailResorts EpicPromise. They provide Foresight with lift tickets, adaptive ski lessons, ski equipment rental packages, on-mountain activity passes, etc.
