For millennia, Jewish solidarity has ensured our survival. However, many Israelis, having grown up with little regard for the Diaspora, are unfamiliar with global Jewry. Interwoven strives to fundamentally transform Israelis' relationship with American Jews in all their diversity, shifting perceptions from ignorance, indifference, and even condescension to mutual responsibility, accountability, and dedication to a shared destiny with their brothers and sisters abroad. In doing so we ensure the continued unity and resilience of the Jewish people.

Israeli Leadership Missions to the US: We design and implement week-long missions to the U.S. that educate Israeli thought leaders on contemporary Jewish life in America, aiming to transform their perceptions of American Jewry. Each mission immerses participants in first-hand experiences with American Jewish organizations, leaders, and congregations, offering a direct encounter with the diverse and vibrant landscape of Jewish life in the U.S. Through these experiences, participants build meaningful connections, fostering a deeper understanding and stronger bridges between the two centers of the Jewish People. Our initiatives reach a wide range of demographics, and in 2023 alone, we brought over 200 Israeli leaders and influencers on 10 unique missions to the U.S. We are on track to reach 12 missions in 2024, continuing to expand this impactful exchange.

Educational Programs: Shazur designs and facilitates classes and workshops across various educational settings for adults, students and teens, focused on Jewish Peoplehood and the relationship between American Jewry and Israel. In 2023-2024, we partnered with ANU - The Museum of the Jewish People to create a full-day symposium on Jewish peoplehood. Using video clips we produced and a custom-developed interactive phone app, over 6,500 Jewish-Israeli high school students explored their relationship with Jews abroad, laying the groundwork for a deeper connection with the global Jewish community.

Heschel's Passover Eve American Tour: Shazur was proud to produce the U.S. version of Heschel's Passover Eve, a play that delves into the life of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, a visionary American Jewish leader, and his perspectives on Jewish peoplehood and identity in the 20th century. In addition to producing the play, we managed its distribution across Jewish venues throughout the United States, bringing it to 20 different communities. To deepen the impact, we ran educational programs designed to help audiences engage with and process the play's themes.
