IITA HAS IDENTIFIED, AND SEEKS TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE, INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL SEEK TO ADDRESS CHALLENGES FACING THE TESTING INDUSTRY. USE OF THIS TECHNOLOGY WILL ENABLE MEMBERS OF THE TESTING INDUSTRY TO OFFER ITS TESTS TO TEST-TAKERS IN THEIR HOMES, THEREBY POTENTIALLY REMOVING CERTAIN FINANCIAL BARRIERS TO TAKING A STANDARDIZED TEST. HOME-BASED TESTING IS ALSO SIGNIFICANTLY EASIER FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. IN TERMS OF IMPROVING THE TESTING INDUSTRY, HELPING TEST OFFERORS TO IMPROVE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES AND ENSURE THAT THEIR LEGAL REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT ARE MET IS AN IMPORTANT STEP FOR THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE.
