Our organization offers three primary program services designed to improve mental health within minority communities:1. Mental Health Education and Training for Families and Educators: This program provides workshops and resources to help families and educators better understand mental health issues, recognize warning signs, and reduce stigma. These training sessions aim to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to support individuals facing mental health challenges. We've conducted over 20 workshops in the past year, reaching more than 300 families and educators. 2. Direct Mental Health Support and Counseling: Through individual and group counseling, we provide culturally competent mental health care to over 100 clients who receive services 1-8 times per month. Our counselors focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by minority individuals, offering emotional support, coping strategies, and crisis intervention. In the past year, we've facilitated over 1,200 sessions, with 60% of clients reporting improvements in mental health after completing therapy. 3. Community Support and Resource Navigation: This program assists clients in accessing mental health resources, navigating public health systems, and overcoming barriers to care. We provide referrals, help with insurance applications, and connect individuals to community resources, ensuring they receive the support they need. Over the past year, we've connected 80% of clients with additional services, with 95% reporting feeling more empowered in managing their mental health care. These programs are designed to reduce mental health disparities in minority communities by increasing awareness, offering direct care, and ensuring clients have the resources needed to improve their mental well-being.
