THE MISSION OF MISSION DENTAL SOUTH CAROLINA INC. MISSION DENTAL SOUTH CAROLINA, INC., DOING BUSINESS AS SPARTANBURG COMMUNITY DENTAL CENTER, PROVIDED COMPREHENSIVE DENTAL CARE TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS ACROSS SPARTANBURG COUNTY. IN THE REPORTING YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION: DELIVERED 5,382 PATIENT TREATMENTS, INCLUDING PREVENTIVE, RESTORATIVE, SURGICAL AND EMERGENCY DENTAL SERVICES (982). SUPPORTED SMC ADVANCED EDUCATION IN GENERAL DENTISTRY RESIDENCY PROGRAM TO ENHANCE CLINICAL TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR DENTAL RESIDENTS COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS TO EXPAND ACCESS TO CARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: VOCATIONAL REHAB PROGRAMS, ACCESS HEALTH, GIBBS CANCER CENTER, ST. LUKES FREE MEDICAL CLINIC, SEVERAL UPSTATE SUBSTANCE ABUSE RECOVERY PROGRAMS, SPARTANBURG COUNTY DETENTION CENTER, LAURENS COUNTY DETENTION CENTER, LIVESAY, URGENT CARE/EMERGENCY ROOM, SAVE A SMILE, AND MANY MORE. IN NOVEMBER 2024, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED A FREE DENTAL DAY, OFFERING COMPLIMENTARY DENTAL EXTRACTIONS TO 110 COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED.
