During 2025, the New Jersey Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (NJALAS) continued to carry out activities in furtherance of its exempt purpose of advancing educational leadership, promoting equity, and supporting students and educational professionals.NJALAS awarded $13,000 in scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education. This program supports academic achievement and expands access to higher education for deserving students.The organization conducted professional development programming throughout the state, including hosting two events in each region of New Jersey. These events provided training, mentorship, and networking opportunities for aspiring and current school and district administrators, with a focus on leadership development, equity, and best practices in education.NJALAS also hosted several major events, including its annual conference, which featured workshops and presentations by educational leaders and subject matter experts; its annual gala, which served as both a fundraising and recognition event; and a scholarship awards dinner honoring student recipients and their achievements.In addition, NJALAS recognized excellence in educational leadership within its membership. The organization's Vice President, Rosa Diaz, Superintendent of Carteret Public Schools, was recognized at the National Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) Conference and Gala for her outstanding leadership. She was also named ALAS National Superintendent of the Year and Middlesex County Superintendent of the Year.
