THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY OF THE ESTERO FOREVER FOUNDATION FROM APRIL 2024 THROUGH 2025 WAS WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE VILLAGE OF ESTERO TO PREPARE ESTERO RIVER PARK, LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF CORKSCREW ROAD AND U.S. 41, FOR FUTURE PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES. THIS INITIATIVE WAS IMPLEMENTED SHORTLY AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE DRIVING RANGE PROJECT. EFF'S WORK AT THE ESTERO RIVER PARK SITE INCLUDED DEBRIS REMOVAL, IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING STRUCTURES ON THE PROPERTY, SECURING A WATER SUPPLY FOR THOSE BUILDINGS, AND ENHANCING SITE ATTRACTIONS SUCH AS THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN AND LABYRINTH. ALL IMPROVEMENTS WERE COMPLETED WITHIN THE APPROVED BUDGET ESTABLISHED BY THE VILLAGE OF ESTERO. EFF COORDINATED ON-SITE PARTICIPATION BY FGCU STUDENTS, WHO ASSISTED WITH THE REMOVAL OF INVASIVE PLANT SPECIES AS PART OF THE BROADER EFFORT TO IMPROVE AND PRESERVE THE PROPERTY.
