LEADERSHIP: Monthly leadership meetings were held to develop educational policy in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education and the Governors office. Additional work efforts included but is not limited to committee work on Nevadas Pupil Centered Funding plan, NV Teacher Leaders Council, American Association of School Administrators Governing Board, Council of Great City Schools, NV State Board of Education, ACT, Commission on Professional Standards, and the Commission on Recruitment & Retention. Superintendents provided presentations to the Senate and Assemply Committees on Education per their request on several topics throughout the 2025 legislative session. NASS officers and NDE State Superintendent met monthly to collaborate on improving educational outcomes for students.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: Nevada Department of Education recertification hours were issued through the 2025 Superintendent Leadership Network for 20 individuals for 39 hours. June 2025 Superintendents Academy Certificates were issued to 230 superintendents and their executive teams for 10 recertification hours. Planning has begun for the 2026 Superintendents Academy. Webinars centered around evaluation were provided online to superintendents.

ADVOCACY: Superintendents, governmental affairs, and the executive director spent time reading, analyzing, and proposing amendments to legislative bill/regulations and testifying on behalf of Pr-K-12 public education during the 2025 legislative session. July 8-10, 2025,five superintendents attended the AASA Advocacy conference and met with all six of Nevada representatives on educational topics. Executive Director met monthly with AASA advocacy personnel via Zoom to hear updates and write letters on behalf of NASS to Nevada Senators and Congressmen/women.
