IN THE 2023-2024 SEASON, PDR SWIMMING CONTINUE TO GROW BOTH IN NUMBERS AND COMPETITIVE SUCCESS. THE TEAM SAW AN 18.3% INCREASE IN SWIM MEET PARTICIPATION, JUMPING FROM 82 PARTICIPANTS IN 2023 TO 97 IN 2024. THIS RISE IN INVOLVEMENT REFLECTS PDRS EXPANDING PRESENCE IN THE MID-ATLANTIC SWIMMING SCENE AND ITS ONGOING COMMITMENT TO DEVELOPING YOUNG ATHLETES. COMPETITIVE MILESTONES: THE 2023-2024 SEASON MARKED A RETURN TO REGIONAL-LEVEL COMPETITION FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. SEVEN SWIMMERS QUALIFIED FOR AND COMPETED IN THE PRESTIGIOUS LONG COURSE METERS EASTERN ZONE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS IN BUFFALO, NY, SIGNALING A MAJOR COMPETITIVE STEP FORWARD FOR THE TEAM. INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS: SEVERAL SWIMMERS ACHIEVED NATIONAL AGE-GROUP RANKINGS, HIGHLIGHTING THE TEAMS GROWING TALENT PIPELINE. THESE INDIVIDUAL SUCCESSES UNDERSCORE PDRS ABILITY TO NURTURE SWIMMERS WHO CAN COMPETE BEYOND THE LOCAL LEVEL AND ON THE NATIONAL STAGE. GROWTH & RESILIENCE: PDRS PROGRESS THIS SEASON REFLECTS NOT ONLY ITS LEGACY OF PRIDE, DETERMINATION, AND RESILIENCE, BUT ALSO ITS CAPACITY TO REBUILD AND EXPAND AFTER THE CHALLENGES OF THE PANDEMIC. THE TEAMS RETURN TO HIGH-LEVEL COMPETITION AND ITS INCREASE IN PARTICIPATION NUMBERS DEMONSTRATE A STRONG TRAJECTORY FOR THE FUTURE.
