Service accomplishments: Trial of food scrap diversion to community compost site. Engaged 9 residents of LMI apartment complex above Earth Shot Project premises to collect food scraps and bring to site for composting. Used compost from community compost site to enrich soil for a 10-plant community sidewalk garden. Each food scrap participant "adopted" one of the tomato plants. The project generated many conversations about food, whole foods, fresh foods, and processed foods.
