DURING 2023 -2024, THERE WERE 5 OTIS PRESERVATION TRUST EVENTS THAT WERE PRESENTED UNDER THE SERIES TITLE NOTICE OTIS". IN THE SUMMER, A PUPPET SHOW WAS HELD OUTDOORS AND WAS ATTENDED BY CHILDREN AND ADULTS. A ZOOM ONLY LECTURE, "THE HESSIANS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR", WAS PRESENTED IN THE FALL. THEN, IN WINTER, THERE WAS A PRESENTATION ABOUT A LOCAL ORGANIZATION, "GOULD FARM". THE REPRESENTATIVES SPOKE ABOUT THE ROADSIDE CAFE, AND THE ACTIVITIES AT THE FARM. ANOTHER WINTER EVENT, GIVEN BY A LOCAL AUTHOR WAS A TALK HELD VIA ZOOM, AND IN PERSON. THE TOPIC, "THE LIBERATION OF SUE MOODY" FOCUSED ON AN INTERNATIONAL JOURNALIST AND OTIS RESIDENT. THE NOTICE OTIS SERIES" CONCLUDED WITH AN IN PERSON EVENT, "BERKSHIRE COUNTY INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE". THROUGHOUT JULY AND AUGUST, MEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN A WEEKLY FARMER'S MARKET HELD AT A LOCAL STORE. THERE WERE BROCHURES AVAILABLE THAT EXPLAINED THE MISSION OF THE TRUST, AND THIS EVENT PROVIDED US WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUBLICIZE OUR PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF HISTORIC OTIS BUILDINGS. WE ALSO RECEIVED APPROXIMATELY $1,000 IN DONATIONS. TO PROMOTE OUR EFFORTS, AND EXPAND AWARENESS OF THE TRUST, WE ATTENDED THE COUNTY WIDE, "BERKSHIRE REV 250" MEETING. WE WILL JOIN WITH THE GROUP TO CELEBRATE THE 250TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED STATES.
