BASECAMP305 SERVES QUALIFIED STUDENTS BY CREATING A WORLD-CLASS CURRICULUM HEAVILY FOCUSED ON SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, MATH, AND SOCIAL RESPONSILBILITY. PROBLEM SOLVING, CRITICAL THINKING, TEAMWORK, COMMUNICATION AND ETHICS ARE CORE ELEMENTS OF DAILY PROJECTS.BASECAMP305 EMPHASIZES SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, THE ARTS AND MATHEMATICS ("STEAM"). THE STEAM CURRICULUM IS FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING ORGANIZED AND ANALYTICAL THINKING, AS WELL AS PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS. BASECAMP305 EMPHASIZES A HANDS-ON APPROACH TO LEARNING THAT FOCUSES ON THE PROCESSES AND TECHNIQUES OF DISCOVERY. THE CURRICULUM IS DESIGNED TO OFFER STUDENTS A FOUNDATION IN THE SCIENTIFIC AND DESIGN PROCESSES. CLASSES ARE CONDUCTED BY HIGHLY QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED EDUCATORS. BASECAMP305 IS A PRIMARY SCHOOL DEDICATED TO THE CURIOSITY AND LEARNING OF HIGHLY-GIFTED STUDENTS IN MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. CLASS SIZES ARE SMALL DURING BASECAMP305'S INITIAL YEARS WITH A LOW STUDENT TO TEACHER RATIO. THE MAJORITY OF THE STUDENT BASE IS FULL TIME RESIDENTS OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CHILDREN RESIDING SOUTH OF 30TH STREET IN MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AS WELL AS TO CHILDREN OF FAMILIES THAT HAVE A PAST, CURRENT OR FUTURE ASSOCIATION TO AIRWATCH OR ONETRUST. BASECAMP305 BEGAN IN 2020 WITH A PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASS, ADDING ADDITIONAL GRADES EACH YEAR, INCLUDING THIRD GRADE DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024. IN FUTURE YEARS, BASECAMP305 EXPECTS TO GRADUALLY EXPAND TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL CLASSES UP THROUGH FIFTH GRADE OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS. CLASS SIZES WILL REMAIN SMALL, AND INSTRUCTION AND ACTIVITIES WILL TYPICALLY INVOLVE MIXED AGES. THE SCHOOL AWARDS NEED-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFYING STUDENTS.
