Friends of TMAF supports and promotes the Taipei Music Academy and Festival (TMAF) and provides participants with various scholarships.During the COVID-19 outbreak in Taiwan in the summer of 2021, TMAF was relocated and held in San Francisco. As the primary organizer, Friends of TMAF sponsored 14 internationally-renowned master musicians and three faculty members from the San Franciso Conservatory of Music; hosted 48 young music students from around the world, and presented four concerts at SFCM and the Frost Amphitheater of Stanford University. The opening orchestra concert drew an audience of over 1,000 individuals despite the social distancing requirement.
