THE VERMONT DONOR MILK CENTER, INC. SUPPORTS FAMILIES DURING WHAT IS OFTEN AN INCREDIBLY VULNERABLE TIME. WE OFFER FOOD SECURITY AND THE PEACE OF MIND NEEDED TO ESTABLISH SUCCESSFUL FEEDING ROUTINES. SINCE OPENING WE HAVE SERVED OVER 750 FAMILIES WITH OVER 110,000 OUNCES OF PASTEURIZED DONOR HUMANMILK (PDHM). WE HAVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO ANY FAMILY IN NEED OF HELP. SINCE OUR DOORS OPENED IN 2020 WE HAVE PROVIDED OVER 180,000 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES ALL OVER VERMONT AND NORTHERN NEW YORK. OUR PROFESSIONAL LACTATION SUPPORT WITH LOCAL INTERNATIONALLY BOARD CERTIFIED LACTATION CONSULTANTS (IBCLC) CONNECTS NEW PARENTS WITH CRITICAL RESOURCES TO HELP THEM REACH THEIR LACTATION GOALS AND GUIDES THEM THROUGH THEIR POSTPARTUM NEEDS. WE ALSO SUPPORT FAMILIES WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME MILK DONORS. WE CONNECT THEM WITH THE MILK BANK TO BECOME AN APPROVED MILK DONOR, AND WE HELP THEM SHIP THE MILK TO THE MILK BANK FOR PROCESSING. SINCE OPENING OUR DOORS IN 2020, WE HAVE HELPED OVER 70 WOMEN BECOME MILK DONORS, AND WE HAVE COLLECTED OVER 35,000 OUNCES OF RAW MILK FOR PASTEURIZATION.
