THE EFFORTS FOR THIS SERVICE BEGAN IN SEPTEMBER IN PREPARATION OF THANKSGIVING IN NOVEMBER. WITH HELP OF OVER 200 VOLUNTEERS AS WELL AS PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL GROCERY STORES AND TRANSPORTATION PROVIDERS, WE ACCOMPLISHED THE OBJECTIVE BY PROVIDING 1,200 TURKEYS AND OTHER ITEMS FOR A COMPLETE MEAL TO FAMILIES IN NEED ACROSS THE COMMUNITY. WE ALSO PROVIDED 33 RESTAURANT GIFT CARDS TO ALLOW FOR A WARM HOLIDAY MEAL. THE GOAL IS TO EXPAND THE OUTREACH AND SUPPORT FOR THIS SERVICE SO MORE FAMILIES CAN GET ASSISTANCE.
