As part of STEMM FIRE's rural school program, we were able to speak in front of 2,672 students across Kansas. That brings the total number of students to nearly 5,600 since STEMM FIRE's inception in 2019. Our student surveys show that 30% of students are MORE interested in seeking a STEMM career following our talks. 37% of students found a STEMM career that they want to learn more about. Around 30 volunteers joined us out on the road, some repeatedly throughout the year - donating their time away from their work and family - to speak to students about their STEMM career and offer mentoring and job shadowing opportunities.
