COVID-19 CREATED A GREAT NEED IN THE AREA OF HOMELESS SERVICES. THE IMPACT CAUSED URGENCY FOR MANY CITIES AND COUNTIES TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SHELTER AND EMERGENCY QUARANTINE FACILITIES. BEDROCK CREEK FOUNDATION DBA MAINSTREET SECURITY, EMBRACED THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK TOGETHER WITH OTHER_NON-PROFITS AND MUNICIPALITIES FOR SOCIAL GOOD AND SOCIAL JUSTICE, BY PROVIDING TRAINING TO DOZENS OF INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE EXPERIENCING BARRIERS TO SECURING EMPLOYMENT. AS PART OF THE PROGRAM, AFTER RECEIVING TRAINING, THESE INDIVIDUALS WERE EMPLOYED AS UNARMED SECURITY TEAMS AT THE AFOREMENTIONED SHELTERS AND FACILITIES. THESE TRAININGS AND SHORT-TERM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, PROVIDED IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE FOR THE INDIVIDUALS AND EMPOWERED THEM TO OBTAIN MORE PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM.
