THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE HIP HOP CHESS CLUB OF WISCONSIN: COMBINING HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTALS, PRODUCING AND PAD-DRUMMING, WE PLAY CHESS WITH THE YOUTH TO ENCOURAGE FORESIGHT. WE ENCOURAGE YOUTH TO REFRAIN FROM IMPULSIVE MOVES IN LIFE AND CHESS. WE DISCUSS NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF EMOTIONALLY DRIVEN MOVES.MAKIN' MOVES BREAKDANCING: MAKIN' MOVES FOCUSES ON THE WELLNESS OF MIND, BODY AND SOUL. BY BREAKDANCING YOUTH LEARN TO HIT THEIR ANGER TO THE FLOOR, RELEASING ENDORPHINS TO BETTER THEMSELVES AND DANCE AS RELEASE THERAPY. THIS PROGRAM FOCUSES ON PHYSICAL HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH AND DISCIPLINE WHILE INCORPORATING THE HIP-HOP CULTURE.RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CIPHERS: A SAFE SPACE WHERE YOU CAN EXPRESS HOW YOU FEEL THROUGH POETRY, WRITING LYRICS, JOURNALING, FREESTYLING AND CIPHERING. SELF-EXPRESSION IS HEALING. CONNECT WITH OTHERS THROUGH CREATIVITY AND THE ART OF THE CIPHER. BE YOURSELF, EXPRESS YOURSELF. CREATE, COLLABORATE, CONNECT. URBAN TRADE SKILLS: TEACHING YOUNG PEOPLE A FOUNDATION OF HOME IMPROVEMENT SKILLS AND NON-TRADITIONAL EMPLOYMENT, WE ENCOURAGE YOUTH TO VENTURE INTO TRADES AND EXPLORE THE MANY ADVANTAGES OF INVESTING IN THEMSELVES. THIS PROGRAM HAS AN URBAN, DOWN TO EARTH TEACHING TECHNIQUE, SO YOUTH WILL NOT BE GUARDED AS IN A SCHOOL ATMOSPHERE. OUR GOAL IS TO IGNITE A PASSION FOR TRADES, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. WE BELIEVE IF YOUTH DO NOT FIND ANOTHER PATH ASIDE FROM COLLEGE THEY WILL FALL VICTIM TO POOR CHOICES IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT.
