THE WORK OF THE ASSOCIATION IS FACILITATED THROUGH COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH THE USDA FOREST SERVICE AND THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT AND A SPECIAL USE PERMIT WITH THE USDA FOREST SERVICE.PLIA SERVES VISITORS TO PUBLIC LAND AREAS IN ALL WESTERN STATES THROUGHTHE WEBSITE, WWW.PUBLICLANDS.ORG, IN PERSON IN ARIZONA AND NEW MEXICO, AND EMBRACES A LARGE SPECTRUM OF PUBLIC LANDS USERS. PLIA SPECIALIZES IN PROVIDING STEWARDSHIP AND CONSERVATION MESSAGES TO UNDERSERVED PUBLIC LANDS USERS SUCH AS CAMPERS, OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLE USERS AND HUNTERS EITHER IN PERSON OR ONLINE THROUGH THE WEBSITE.PLIA USES GENERATED REVENUE TO SUPPORT THE INTERPRETIVE AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OF ASSOCIATED LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCIES.
