OPERATION OF SMALL BUSINESS CENTERS, CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, MAIN STREET & ARTS & CULTURE DISTRICT, EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND TOURISM PROMOTIONS. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOSTED MORE THAN 10 BUSINESS BREAKFASTS AND SEVERAL BUSINESS AFTER HOURS; MORE THAN 70 BUSINESSES PARTICIPATED IN CHAMBERFEST; CELEBRATED NUMEROUS RIBBON CUTTINGS; AND HAVE CONTINUED TO SEE GROWTH IN OUR MEMBERSHIP. MAINTAINED JUST UNDER 300 CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEMBERS, INCLUDING SMALL BUSINESSES, BIGGER INDUSTRY PARTNERS AND REGIONAL COLLABORATORS.HOSTED THE THIRD BUSINESS ACCELERATOR WITH JUST UNDER 10 BUSINESSES, WITH MANY OF THEM STARTING OR EXPANDING THEIR BUSINESS IN THE COMMUNITY; HOSTED LOS ALAMOS SCIENCEFEST, THE COUNTY'S SIGNATURE EVENT ORGANIZED AND HOSTED BY LACDC'S MAINSTREET PROGRAM, WHICH DRAWS REGIONAL VISITATION TO THE COMMUNITY AND TO LOCAL BUSINESSES. LACDC/MAINSTREET SPONSORED CONCERT ATTENDANCE ON 7/12 WAS OVER 8,000 AND HAD A REGIONAL DRAW OF FOLKS FROM LOS ALAMOS, WHITE ROCK, TAOS, SANTA FE, ESPANOLA, AND ALBUQUERQUE. USING CELL PHONE DATA FROM PLACERAI, WE ARE ABLE TO SEE A REACH TO LOS ALAMOS MORA, RIO ARRIBA, SAN MIGUEL, SANDOVAL, SANTA FE, TAOS OVER THE COURSE OF THE 5-DAY FESTIVAL.CLOSED OUT THE 7TH 0% INTEREST LOAN TO SMALL BUSINESSES (FACADE LOAN PROGRAM). TOTAL FUNDS AWARDED SINCE 2015 AMOUNTED TO MORE THAN $84,000.
