Scholarships - Idea grants and scholarships areawards given to public school counselors and high school students. The counselor awards are meant to recognize public school counselors, particularly those who serve rural or diverse students, and are used to payfor professional development opportunities such as attending the annual RMCAC conference. THe sutdentawards are given to high school seniors from in-region high schools to be used towards first year expenses in college. Like the counselor awards the students typically come rural, diverse, or otherwise underrepresented backgrounds. All grants and scholarships have a nomination or application process, and are selected by the IDEA Committee. Professional Services - we also offer funding for members to attend the annual Guiding the way to Inclusion, or GWI, Conference presented by our National Association, NACAC. Simiarly, RMACAC partners with NCAN, or the National College Attainment Network, to offer free NCAN membership with a RMACAC membership, along with government relations-foucused NCAN events that help counselors learn to best advocate for their students and profession.
