Our purpose is to educate visitors as well as teach about other genocides and forms of bullying that have affected people around the world. We are not limited to one religion, culture, geographic area or time. In the 2024-2025 school year, we hosted 33 youth, school, and lifelong learner group visits. Our total number of visitors was 1,091 people, from 13 countries, 35 states and 14 New Mexico counties.Highlights of our Education & Community Outreach efforts include: Launched two student-developed exhibits through our program with local high schools Sponsored six free speaker events aligned with our mission Facilitated three free professional development opportunities for NM educators Increased our online collections to nearly 5,000 digital records Stewarded more than 1,ooo artifacts, photographs, and documents in our archives and collections Established a partnership with NM Public Charter Schools Partnered with the Southwest Broadway Library to display our traveling exhibit 400 Years of African American Upstanders Presented at multiple events including the National Association of Black & White Men Together (NABWMT) annual conference, the New Mexico Association of Museums (NMAM) annual conference, UNM Historical Law Society, and The New Mexico Jewish Historical Society (NMJHS) conference Created a special event for children at the Catopia Cat Caf in Albuquerque with museum volunteer Andy Holten reading The Cat Who Lived With Anne Frank Participated in and co-sponsored an event at Congregation Albert in Albuquerque bringing together the three Memorial Scrolls Trust (MST) Torah scrolls located in New Mexico: - Congregation Albert, Memorial Scrolls Trust #1337, from Svihov, Plzen Region, Czech Republic, c.1850 - New Mexico Holocaust & Intolerance Museum, Memorial Scrolls Trust #666, specific community information lost, Czech Republic, 19th century - Temple Beth Shalom, Memorial Scrolls Trust #426, from Mlada Boleslav, Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, 18th century.
