Golden Willow Retreat continued to utilize virtual, on-line grief support groups in 2023 with weekly meetings. We estimate that there were about 5,000 people that attended the meetings in 2023. We had 220 nights with people at the retreat center. In addition to that, we held 4 weekend workshops in 2023 with a total of 50 participants. We also held our annual butterfly event that had over 60 people in attendance. Golden Willow Retreat continues to be active in the community. We partner with Holy Cross Hospital in helping our local community members with scholarships to attend a Loss of Child weekend workshop. We host several Taos County Provider Breakfast meetings throughout the year where community leaders meet and get together to discuss Taos County issues and events. In 2023, there were 4 County Provider Breakfasts with about 50 people in attendance at each event. We work with many other local non-profits like Red Willow Hospice, Community Against Violence, Taos Community Foundation, Taos Behavioral Health, Teambuilders, and Rio Grande ATP to help with suicide prevention, addiction, and provide other resources for individuals that are going through hardships and losses.
