His House for Her served at risk women in recovery by providing safe, temporary housing and support services to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. His House provided trauma-informed, targeted case management that filled gaps for much needed medical, mental health, and substance abuse services. We provided faith-based 12 Step addiction recovery, SMART Recovery, and trauma education five days a week. We empowered our residents by teaching them how to set goals while monitoring their progress weekly. This allowed us to identify necessary adjustments quickly to ensure goals were met so our residents could take pride in what they were able to accomplish while with us. We also helped women identify their strengths and we created ways for them to practice these strengths in positions of leadership within the home. Women remained drug and alcohol free while with us. All cigarette smokers reduced their use of tobacco as well. We also continue to develop community partnerships to provide the various services our residents need in a streamlined manner. We work hard to build relationships to be able to advocate for our residents' needs well.
