YOUTH WITH A PURPOSE

Youth With A Purpose (YWAP) proudly delivers transformative programs across several core areas: mentorship (Mommy Mentor Network & SideBySide), transitional housing through The Purpose House, the YWAP Youth Center, the Arts 2 the Stage performing arts program, career exploration workshops, and community empowerment events such as Unity 4 Youth, the Annual Banquet, and the Holiday Toy Drive. In 2024, YWAP directly impacted the lives of over 350 youth through dynamic, developmentally focused programming centered on education, personal growth, and family engagement. The organization hosted more than 10 vibrant community events, including favorites like Family Game Night and the Fall Festival, strengthening bonds between youth and their communities. The Purpose House operated at full capacity year-round, offering a safe, nurturing home for referred youth. Residents received personalized care packages and engaged in over 170 life skills sessions covering job readiness, financial literacy, cooking, and communication?preparing them for independence and success. Through the Mommy Mentor Network, YWAP supported young mothers with over 280 individualized mentorship sessions and 19 empowerment events focused on early childhood education, self-esteem building, and financial empowerment. Impressively, 100% of participants reported increased confidence and a stronger sense of support on their motherhood journey. At the Youth Center, 40 students benefited from after-school enrichment, while 65 families participated in seasonal gatherings. More than $5,000 in in-kind donations helped sustain and enhance these services. YWAP?s Arts 2 the Stage performing arts program welcomed over 20 young creatives, who showcased their talents in 10 public performances with audiences of up to 150?providing a powerful platform for youth expression and storytelling. In its broader outreach efforts, YWAP engaged 276 community members through wellness expos, educational initiatives, and local fairs?further extending its reach and reinforcing its mission. With strong strategic partnerships and over $5,000 in financial and in-kind support, Youth With A Purpose continues to uplift youth and families through inclusive, impactful, and future-focused programming.
