IN 2025 THE HAWAII FASD ACTION GROUP EXECUTED THE FIRST YEAR OF FUNDING FROM OPPPD (THROUGH ACT 192). THEY DEVELOPED AN ADVISORY COUNCIL, COMPLETED A STATEWIDE WORKFORCE SURVEY ON FASD AWARENESS AND DIAGNOSTIC CAPACITY, ADVOCATED AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL FOR FASD FUNDING AND SUPPORT, AND PROVIDED NEXT-STEP RECOMMENDATION AND EVALUATION REPORTS TO DOH AND THE LEGISLATURE.THE ACTION GROUP ALSO DEVELOPED SEVERAL NEW PARTNERSHIPS AND SMALL PROJECTS, INCLUDING TRAINING MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE STATE-WIDE (PHYSICIANS, PUBLIC SAFETY PROVIDERS, PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, HOME VISITORS, ETC.) ON BASIC FASD AWARENESS AND HAWAII-SPECIFIC INFORMATION, AS WELL AS RAN A MULTIFACETED STATE-WIDE PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER, INCLUDING MEDIA, COMMUNITY EVENTS AND A DAY AT THE CAPITAL.
