THIS YEAR VIDBO YOUTH ORCHESTRAS ENGAGED 90 STUDENTS THROUGH ENERGETIC, INCLUSIVE, CULTURALLY COMPETENT INSTRUMENT LESSONS AND MUSIC APPRECIATION WHICH HELPED STUDENTS 1) BUILD MUSIC SKILLS AND MASTERY AND 2) DEVELOP SOCIO-EMOTIONAL SKILLS TO SUCCEEED ACADEMICALLY AND THRIVE IN LIFE. WE OFFERED FIVE LEVELS OF LEARNING: (1) PRE-ORCHESTRA: PROVIDES K-1 GRADERS FOUNDATIONAL MUSIC KNOWLEDGE AND BASICA MUSICAL SKILLS USING PLAY-BASED MUSIC CIRRICULUM; (2) RECORDER & UKULELE: ENGAGED STUDENTS, GRADES 2-3 IN LEANRING BASIC WIND AND STRING INSTRUMENTS WHILE BEGINNING TO LEARN MUSIC.
