In partnership with Northwell Health, New York State???s largest healthcare provider, the MOMs (Maternal OutcoMes) Program aims to improve maternal health outcomes for high-risk birthing people through an integrated care approach. Funded by a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant, this program will allow the Mama Glow Foundation to train Northwell Health staff as doulas, integrating doulas into the hospital???s care teams. The goal of this program is to improve both maternal health and maternal mental health outcomes by incorporating doulas into clinical care teams, providing holistic support for birthing people. Mama Glow???s partnership with Northwell Health also includes training nursing staff in the Mama Glow Professional Doula Training Program. This ensures that hospital staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide trauma-informed, culturally competent care.
