Mothers of the Amazons (MOTAs) activities are organized around four pillars:1.Improve health: Safeguarding the health of Indigenous Peoples through access to clean water, sanitation, medical care and emergency aid.2.Land Preservation: Protecting some of the most biodiverse areas on Earth located at the heart of the Amazon Rainforest.3.Cultural Preservation: Preserving Indigenous culture and traditions for future generations.4.Education: Bringing education on environmental health, waste management, and sustainable practices to Indigenous Communities.Our work supports the following Indigenous Groups: Huni Kuin, Yawanawa, Shanenawa, Nukini, Noke Koi and Ashaninka. Unless stated otherwise, all of these activities have taken place in the State of Acre, Brazil.
